Obamacare’s Spanish Site Still Has Vital Information in English.

The Spanish-language Obamacare website rollout has been plagued by worse problems than the glitch-filled, and significant information is still presented in English, including the section outlining what healthcare plans are available.

The Obama administration‘s rollout of the Spanish language website took longer than its English counterpart, yet Latinos still face the same deadlines as English-speaking Americans to navigate the site and get insurance coverage by Jan. 1.

Obama administration officials have not released the number of Hispanics who have signed up for healthcare insurance through the national system, but an initial figure from California is not promising.

Only 13 percent of enrollees in California’s online healthcare exchange are Hispanic, despite accounting for 38 percent of the population, the state said last week.

“It’s already a net loss in California and that’s supposed to be the model program,” said Daniel Garza, executive director of The LIBRE Initiative’s Accountability Project, which advances free-enterprise efforts among Hispanics and is working to expose broken promises in Obamacare.

“It’s disastrous all the way around,” he said.

On the home page of the Spanish-language site are three main sections: to compare policies, purchase health insurance, and apply for subsidies. The compare policies section is still in English.

Garza said Spanish speakers also are being directed to information outside the federal exchange that is in English.

“A lot of it is just sending people to third-party sites, state exchange programs, and they are not in Spanish,” Garza noted.

The Spanish version was overwhelmed with glitches throughout October and November and did not go fully operational until last week, 10 days after the Obama administration said the English website was finally running smoothly.

However, Garza said the site is mostly cosmetic, and like the English version of the website, doesn’t effectively work on the back end to hook participants up with insurance companies.

“People who think they signed up for a policy are going to be in for a rude awakening a month or two down the line,” Garza said.

The federal government is counting on nearly 24 million Americans signing up for Obamacare, and it is expected that one in four will not speak English, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation.

With higher unemployment in the Hispanic community and lower median household incomes, Obamacare will further burden families with the new insurance mandates and higher premiums, Garza said.

But the participation of Hispanics is critical to the success of Obamacare. With a Latino population of 60 million at an average age of 27, those healthy adults are needed to help pay the healthcare costs of older Americans.

Garza also said the lack of participation by Hispanics is due in part to the community losing faith in President Barack Obama.

Garza cited a list of broken promises to the community, including on immigration reform, that he said has led to a decline in the president’s poll numbers.

A recent Gallup poll found that Hispanics’ approval of Obama has fallen from 75 percent in December 2012 to 52 percent in the last few weeks.

“I don’t think the community has been a priority for this administration,” Garza said. “They gave a lot of lip service. I think they just take the community for granted, that the support will be there, and I think they are just now starting to understand that that’s not going to be case.

“So they better get on the ball here or they’re going to lose support on a grand scale, as well they should if they continue these shenanigans.”

The Accountability Project is also targeting the re-election efforts of Hispanic members of Congress who voted for Obamacare and who continue to support the new healthcare law, beginning with Democratic Reps. Joe Garcia of Florida and Pete Gallego of Texas.

The project is running television and radio ads and sponsoring rallies to tell voters “it’s a bad law that is wreaking havoc on the Hispanic community,” Garza said.

“Here we have folks who are supporting a bad policy that is having disastrous effects, and they are continuing to support it, seeing with their own eyes the consequences of a bad law,” Garza said. “So we mean to make sure they pay a heavy political price for that.”

Visions of Christmas: Seeing White.

Visions of Christmas: Seeing White

So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart.
Acts 2:46

1 Corinthians 14:33 (

Our modern Christian activities are much more elaborate and complicated than those of the early church. That’s not to say their lives weren’t complicated. In any age, the duties of life seem to expand to fill the time and resources available. Yet Luke, the author of Acts, noted something about the early Christians. He didn’t say their life was simple, but he did say they lived their lives with “simplicity of heart” (Acts 2:46). Is it possible to live with simplicity of heart in a busy season like Christmas? It must be. If the early Christians did it from week to week, we can surely do it at Christmas.

We don’t know exactly what Luke meant by his words, but it must have something to do with staying focused on the basics which he mentioned in verse 42: teaching, fellowship, the Lord’s Supper, and prayer. What are the basics of Christmas? Love, generosity, worship, service, giving, contemplation, gratitude, and others.

Like a pure white garment (Revelation 19:8), keep this Christmas clutter free by living with simplicity of heart.

Latinos Want US to Sue Over LA Minority Voting Rights.

The Obama administration is aggressively pursuing lawsuits over minority voting rights in Texas and North Carolina. But the Justice Department has not moved in connection with evidence that the latest round of redistricting in Los Angeles County unfairly reduces the influence of Latino voters.
Nearly half the 10 million people in the nation’s largest county are Latino. But political boundaries redrawn in 2011 make it possible for Latino voters to elect just one of the five supervisors.
The administration has resisted calls to sue the county, despite the county’s history of discrimination against Latino voters in earlier redistricting efforts.
The inaction rankles some Latino activists who count themselves as strong backers of President Barack Obama.

Hispanic Group Attacks ‘Painful Impact’.

By Drew MacKenzie

The bipartisan Hispanic organization The LIBRE Initiative has slammed Obamacare and the people supporting it in a new series of bilingual ads in Texas.

The ads in the southwest section of the state, titled “The Painful Impact of Obamacare on Texas,” target Democratic Rep. Pete Gallego for voting for the disastrous Affordable Care Act.

The campaign, which also spreads its Obamacare protest through grassroots events, urges the Hispanic community to sign an online petition to its members of Congress, telling them to stop supporting the health-reform act.

LIBRE says Obamacare has resulted in Hispanic families losing their coverage and paying higher healthcare premiums, as well as pushing employers to cut back on work hours to comply with the law —all of which adds an especially greater hardship to the younger generation of Latinos.

“As compared to the nation, Hispanics already suffer from higher unemployment rates and lower median household incomes; now the ACA burdens Hispanics by mandating the purchase of insurance plans with higher premiums,” say the ads.

“While the White House has again postponed the ability to enroll for health plans on the Spanish-language ACA website, Spanish speakers will still face tax penalties in 2014.

“The new healthcare law relies on the young and healthy to pay higher premiums in order to sustain lower premiums for others. Young healthy Hispanics are being particularly targeted to enroll on the exchanges.”

LIBRE, which says it does not endorse or oppose any candidate, points out in its original Florida ads that elected officials are not listening to its message about getting rid of Obamacare.

The TV, radio, and online ads also urge Hispanics to tell Rep. Joe Garcia, a Florida Democrat, and other ACA supporters “to stop driving up healthcare costs.”

“It’s time to hold them accountable for their continued support of the new healthcare law,” the ad says. “Let Washington politicians know that you are keeping them accountable for making the wrong decisions.

“With so many in the Hispanic community losing their current healthcare plan and their full-time jobs, not to mention having to pay thousands of dollars more for insurance, this law is anything but ‘affordable’ for hard-working Floridians who are already struggling economically.”

Founded two years ago, LIBRE describes itself as a nonpartisan, non-profit grassroots organization that advances the principles and values of economic freedom to empower the U.S. Hispanic community so it can thrive and contribute to a more prosperous America.

Samantha Lewthwaite: Is White Widow a Terrorist or Doting Mom?.

New photos have emerged of Samantha Lewthwaite, which paint the so-called “White Widow” not as a deadly terrorist but as a doting mother.

The pictures show Lewthwaite, 29, cuddling with her baby daughter Surajah in 2010. The child is believed to have been fathered by Abdi Wahid, a former Navy officer who reportedly defected to the al-Qaida-linked, Somalia-based terrorist group al-Shabab in 2007.

Other photos include Lewthwaite at home with her other three children. Her two oldest were from her marriage to suicide-bomber Germaine Lindsay, who killed 26 people when he blew up a London subway train in a 2005 coordinated terror attack.

The identity of the father of the White Widow’s third child — a son born in 2009 — is unknown, according to The Telegraph

Lewthwaite was born in Northern Ireland and grew up in Aylesbury, a London suburb. She reportedly converted to Islam when she was a teenager, and is one of the top suspected al-Shabab terrorists.

Rumors swirled last month that she was involved in the Westgate mall attack in Kenya after an intelligence officer and two soldiers told reporters that one of the militants was a white British woman, but police have yet to officially link her to the massacre.

International counterterrorism officials have reportedly been searching for the White Widow ever since 2011, when bomb-making materials were found during a raid on her Mombasa, Kenya, apartment. She disappeared before the search.

Last month, Interpol issued an international red notice on Lewthwaite.

SHOCKER! Obamacare Will Segregate Doctors And Patients According To Race And Skin Color.

Part of the Progressive “community organizer” social justice manifesto is widespread division. It is Obama’s aim to divide by wealth, class, backgrounds, and as this article shows, to use Obamacare to segregate by race. Obama has come to seek and destroy not only the American way of life, but America itself.

Just as God raised up the wicked King Saul to judge the Jews in the Old Testament, Barack Obama is God’s judgment on America for our wicked ways. He has given us the king we deserve.

Daily Caller: Obamacare’s spectacular flop of a roll-out distracts from its crude calculus that encouragesthe allocation of healthcare resources along racial lines and a doctor-patient system splintered into ethnicities.

If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor under Obamacare — if you both belong to the same race.

While the 2010 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act’s language on diversity sounds innocuous, a review of the frankly separatist thinking of the law’s ardent supporters indicates Obamacare is aiming for a health care system that puts political correctness above the struggle against illness and death.

A 2009 report by the Center for American Progress (CAP) examining the House and Senate bill eventually signed by President Barack Obama advocates pairing patients and doctors of the same race, a goal toward which the law channels taxpayer dollars.

“Research suggests that health care providers’ diagnostic and treatment decisions, as well as their feelings about patients, are influenced by patients’ race or ethnicity,” the CAP report reads. “Several studies have shown that racial concordance is substantially and positively related to patient satisfaction.”

The key phrase is “race concordance” — a word which means “a state in which things agree and do not conflict with one another.”

“There is… evidence that race concordance — defined as shared racial or ethnic identities between clinicians and patients — is related to patient reports of satisfaction, participatory decision making, timeliness of treatment, and trust in the health system,” the report reads. In other words, fixing the broken U.S. healthcare system means assigning Hispanic doctors to Hispanic patients, African American doctors to African American patients, Creole doctors to Creole patients, and so on.

To accomplish this, the CAP report explains, Obamacare pours taxpayer dollars into affirmative-action candidates whose judgment will lead them to make life-or-death decisions. Ultimately, these taxpayer-funded grants would provide scholarships and loan forgiveness for minorities so they could provide healthcare services exclusively to their own race or ethnicity. source – Daily Caller.

RNC Targets Swing States for Hispanic Outreach.

The Republican National Committee is placing Hispanic-outreach teams in seven key swing states ahead of the 2016 presidential election in an effort to improve the party’s showing in that key demographic.

The GOP still is haunted by the fact that Barack Obama smashed Mitt Romney by a margin of 71 percent to 27 percent among Hispanic voters in 2012, according to exit polls.

The seven targeted states, which all have large Hispanic populations, are California, Florida, New Jersey, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Virginia.

“The engagement team will build a grassroots infrastructure and engage with voters at community events, as well as strengthen our ties with Hispanic Republicans,” RNC officials said in a statement Monday.

“The RNC will work in partnership with state parties to ensure a year-round presence in Latino neighborhoods. Additionally, by the end of the year, the committee will make investments in 11 other states.”

Committee Chairman Reince Priebus called the outreach effort unprecedented.
“This off-cycle effort will ensure our message of ‘opportunity for all’ reaches voters . . . [and helps] achieve Republican victories up and down the ballot,” he said in the statement.
